About Mana
Mana is from one of New Zealand’s most remote islands, called Rekohu in Moriori, a Polynesian tribe who were the original habitants.
Later the islands were named The Chatham Islands in English, and Wharekauri in Maori. Like many Maori artists, he began carving bone pendants with Maori symbolism, and is now dedicated to Maori and Polynesian fusion tattoos. He has been representing his culture in Europe for more than 25 years.
